Institution: A university, research center, or organization using the Platform.
Journal: A publisher or editorial entity interacting with the Platform.
Content: Any metadata, files, research outputs, or documents uploaded by Users.
TDM: Text and Data Mining operations.
3. Scope of Service
The Platform provides:
Research quality indicators
Ethics and transparency metrics
Metadata indexing
Research analytics dashboards
Institutional benchmarking tools
Text and Data Mining (TDM) analysis
The Platform does not host, reproduce, sell, or distribute full-text research articles.
4. User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
Provide accurate and lawful information
Not upload copyrighted content without rights
Refrain from scraping or reverse-engineering the Platform
Use the Platform only for lawful, research-driven purposes
5. Licensing of Submitted Content
Users submitting Content grant Veritas Index a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:
Store the Content securely
Perform TDM and analytical processing
Generate indicators, scores, and summaries
Display analytical results only, without revealing full text
Copyright remains with the original owner.
6. Prohibited Uses
Users shall not:
Upload unauthorized full-text content
Attempt to breach or bypass Platform security
Redistribute or resell Platform data
Manipulate analytical results or indicators
7. Institutional and Journal Access
Institutions and Journals must:
Ensure metadata accuracy
Comply with copyright laws
Avoid attempts to influence indicators or evaluation methods
8. Premium Services
Paid services may include:
Researcher dashboards
Institutional analytics
Journal performance metrics
API access
Bulk analysis packages
Fees are governed by separate agreements.
9. Intellectual Property
All Platform algorithms, scoring models, interface design, dashboards, branding, and system architecture are the exclusive IP of Veritas Index (IRTL). Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
10. Disclaimers
Veritas Index does not guarantee:
Accuracy of User-submitted Content
Completeness of metadata
Validity of research conclusions
Indicators do not replace peer review.
11. Limitation of Liability
Veritas Index shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Maximum liability shall not exceed the total fees paid within the last 12 months.
12. Termination
Veritas Index may suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.
13. Amendments
Updates may be made at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
